The Opportunity:

AIRBAG is growing and is looking to welcome fresh opinions and new perspectives into the team. We’re looking for someone to help us manage our visual identity and ensure our creative output has the polish it deserves. The successful candidate will be responsible for “punching up” our content, across a range of media, and ensuring AIRBAG always looks as great as it feels.

The candidate will be essential to our creative pitch process producing decks, reels and microsites - in close collaboration with our creatives as part of our sales pipeline. You’ll also make yourself indispensable for our VFX, production & tech teams - producing designs for our creative projects and polishing our output. You’ll also coordinate with our team on our own advertising and marketing campaigns - including paid placements and social posts.

We’re looking for someone who is great with not only the aesthetics, but also the tools and people. The role will suit someone who has a strong eye for design, an inquisitive mind and a desire to polish things till they shine.

Job Type:

Full Time Permanent, 1 month probationary period

Previous Experience:

  • At least two years in a professional design studio - producing screen based designs.

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.

  • Candidates with experience in Game, Film, VFX production or other creative industries will have a considerable advantage.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • An excellent eye for design, a stickler for detail and a portfolio that rocks

  • High familiarity with creative tools, especially Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma etc 

  • Comfortable with office productivity tools like Google Suite, Slack etc

  • Bonus points for familiarity with Houdini, Unreal, Unity, Touch designer or any other creative tools (please list)

  • Comfortable working across all forms of screen-based media, including typography, animation, ui/ux and web design.

  • Ideally comfortable with either PC or MAC

  • Comfortable both offering and receiving feedback.

Location: 

Whilst some “work from home” will be applicable, the successful candidate will be a regular face at either our office in Abbotsford Victoria, or Botany NSW at least 3 days a week, helping to create a dynamic atmosphere and ensure the smooth operation of one of Australia’s most successful creative production companies. 

You may be required to travel interstate to our regional offices from time to time.

Your main role is as Multimedia Designer for Airbag Productions. 

Position Description:

Carry out and fulfil tasks as outlined below in the position description. 

Multimedia Designer

  • Working as part of the post team across a range of video production areas including motion graphics design, animation, VFX and editing.

  • Participating in creative collaborations to design and storyboard video productions based on advertising, pr or experiential briefs. Bringing fresh and creative ideas to the table for new avenues of motion graphics and video production techniques, concepts and designs.

  • Assisting in the production of motion graphics and animated content for AIRBAG creative projects for both external clients and internal use.

  • Collaborating with our directors and creatives to produce pitch decks and proposal materials.

  • Be the “keeper” of the AIRBAG visual identity and collaborate with our external design partners and stakeholders on its evolution.

  • Generate on-brand templates for use by other departments.

  • Work with our team on a wide range of global brands and creative briefs.

  • Work both as part of a team, taking direction - and independently from time to time.
